Gandhi's letter to Sir Alladi

LETTER NO 755

1. March2 1945

Dear Friend,

I enclose copies of a communication received from Bombay government's departmental officials objecting to the All India Spinners's Association carrying on its work under the name " Akhil Bharath Chakra Sangh " on the ground that the English title of the association registered from the charitable societies ' Act should alone be used and translated name makes it an unauthorized body prohibited by companies act from doing business without being registered as company under the Act . It seems to me that this is a silly objection. Kindly go through the papers please and dictate a reply to be sent to the Government of Bombay on behalf of the spinners association.

I was very sorry to hear from Rajagopalachari about the unfortunate accident which has kept you in bed suffering for the past many weeks . I hope you will soon be quite well .

Yours Sincerely

M. K . Gandhi
